New for 2010, the Palisade is ready for any adventure. It features double-door convenience with a full vestibule and back ‘porch’ storage area to keep you and your family organized while enjoying the great outdoors.Winner of the 2010 Camping Life Editor's Choice Award, the Kelty Palisade four-person tent is ready for any adventure. The freestanding tent is spacious and convenient, with an easy-access door, a full vestibule, and a "back porch" storage area to keep you and your family organized. The tent is also fully weatherproof, with a polyester taffeta rainfly that pulls taut, along with an ArcEdge polyurethane-coated floor with specially constructed waterproof seams located above ground level. And to prevent condensation, the tent includes mesh wall panels and fly vents to keep the air flowing.

It's the little things that help the Palisade stand out from the crowd, however. The Palisade includes internal storage pockets for your wallet or keys, lantern loops for a light source, gear-loft loops for magazines or books, and even cupholders in the vestibule. Other details include color-coded clip-sleeve construction, adjustable stakeouts, side-release buckles that make quick and easy work of the tent-to-rainfly connection, and noiseless zipper pulls.

The Palisade's 64-square-foot floor sleeps up to 4 people.

About Kelty
Kelty has been building affordable, reliable outdoor gear since 1952, helping everyone--from the first-time camper to the experienced mountaineer--embrace the outdoor experience with confidence. Dick Kelty launched the company after years of making backpacks in his home or garage for friends, hand forming and welding each of the frames while his wife sewed the pack bags. The original Kelty packs included aircraft-aluminum contoured frames, padded shoulder straps, waist belts, clevis-pin attachments, nylon pack cloth, zippered pockets, and hold-open frames. Dick Kelty quit his carpentry business in 1956 to focus full time on Kelty Packs, and turned an old Glendale, California, barbershop into his first retail store and factory. In the ensuring years, Kelty expanded its product line to include daypacks, luggage, waterproof clothing, child carriers, jogging strollers, and more.

Kelty Palisade 4-Person Tent even better than expected - highly recommend!!!

Mom and Daughter Test Run
The Kelty Palasaide was the second tent that I received from Kelty. I had purchased the Kelty Villa 4 this year (2010) and when I set it up I came to find out that is was defective. I called the warranty department at Kelty and they were really great. They had me setup the Villa Tent one additional time and then had me send a photo of the 3 inched of space under the floor. Being that the Villa 4 tent was from 2007 and discontinued they offered the Palisade as replacement. I was sold on the vestibule just from the website.

We are planning a trip next week to Sedona and as a test run we set the tent up in our living room. The main part of the tent went up supper easy - the circular pole was an interesting puzzle to figure out and using my 6 year old daughter as a brace we managed to get the tent up. I can honestly say that I could set up the entire tent by myself. As for the circular pole for the roof, I think a tree, car or anything stationary will work just fine if...
